Kerie van Zeyst
Kerie splits her time between the forest outside of the tiny village of Cloudcroft and the high desert mountains of Far west Texas. she and her husband live off-grid—surrounded by nature, starlight, and constant curious creatures. This deep immersion in the wilderness permeates through her art, a playful blend of photography, illustration, printmaking, and colored pencil—each piece infused with a joyful love for the natural world and its inhabitants.

With a master’s degree in art and a lifelong passion for folklore, Kerie blends myth and habitat into whimsical visual narratives full of wonder. Her illustrations read like secret conversations between skies, lands, wildlife and the ancient tales that they tell.

When she’s not creating, Kerie is a passionate grant writer and advocate for nonprofits that focus on hunger, aging, and animal welfare. She's also a perpetual traveler, having explored nature, seasons, and traditions in over thirty countries around the world.
